Can you imagine life without technology? No email, no texting, no websites, no skyping….. the list could go on and on. Almost everything we do requires some element of technology and one of the most important aspects is for communication – keeping in touch with our loved ones living nearby or far away. This is hugely important for most people and even more so for those living alone, the housebound, the elderly and the infirm.
My name is Anita Moore and I started Computer Start in 2010, helping people get to grips with their computing devices such as laptops, desktops, iPads, smart phones, ‘just’ phones and tablets. I love my job and I’m passionate about everyone having access to technology and knowing how to use it for their own needs and interests.
If you’re already online (and you probably are if you’re reading this) you may want to learn more, or, if you know someone who wants to get started, either way help is at hand! Whatever your computing needs are, if you live in or around the York area, I can visit you in your home and go through the things you want to know how to do. Some of the things that might be of interest include, Emailing, Skyping, Googling, Shopping, Document filing, Letter writing, Card making, Ancestry, Facebook, Twitter, Housekeeping accounts ……and again, the list could go on and on.
If you’re just starting out, choosing a computing device can be a minefield of specification descriptions and advertising jargon, so if you need help choosing a computing device, I can help you make your choice.
Apart from the cost of a call, it costs nothing to ask, so do contact me on 07944 717019. I’d love to hear from you.
I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed our time together… I’ve learned so much in such a short time, thanks to your unassuming, friendly approach to teaching. You’ve given me a new-found confidence in my ability to learn something at this stage of life!” Janette, York
